A beautiful fall season is upon us!

Imagine you own a clothing store. You have adorable summer, winter, and fall decorations. You work hard on making the store look great and fit the look and feel of not only the time of year, but also the audience that comes with the changing of seasons.

You worked hard in January to come up with some great marketing for your company. You had great success with it, so you keep it running until the next year. But wait, did you forget something? Just like changing the look of your store out for each season. You also need to refresh your advertising and promotional material.

Here are a couple tips that I have learned to help YOU make your marketing effective, easy, and seasonal!

  1. Ask for help.

This seems simple, but you do not have to come up with everything on your own. Does your company have a Facebook page? Ask your followers to come up with 4 shorts sayings for fall, winter, spring, and summer. It can be fun and a great way to come up with inspiration from others!

  1. Make it simple.

Do you advertise on billboards, Facebook, and in a local magazine? Keep your message consistent for all of those advertising venues.

  1. Create a plan in January.

Talk to your advertising partners and make sure everything is ready to go for the year. You should not have to call them every quarter about what is being changed out. Sit down once in January and make sure you know what message you are displaying quarterly.

  1. Get creative & have fun.

If you are spending the money to advertise, try something new, and get creative. You do not want your message to blend in with the rest. Remember be creative, but keep the look and feel consistent with who you are!

It takes work to make your business succeed, take one last step to make it great! Consistent & seasonally relevant marketing can help you make the jump from good to great.

Take a break this weekend, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the day for what it is.
